Power of Connection
I attended an MPI Georgia event yesterday - the Spring Summit - and sat next to a wonderful woman. In our introductions, I learned that she works for an incredible leader with whom I used to work Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta. And she used to work for another amazing female leader I adore who served as an MPI Georgia president. The connection we had in the first few minutes and then after learning about who we knew in common reminded me of the importance of being together and in person. Don’t get me wrong - I love the flexibility of remote working. I love my sunny office and getting to walk laps around my living room in between calls. But I really love getting to be in person with my team or with my volunteer groups. Something about being in person makes those connections so meaningful and makes me so happy.
